About Al Hujurat Academy

Al Hujurat is an online Quran academy teaching children and adults one-to-one, in English, primarily across Canada and the United States. Every lesson is private, 30 minutes long, and taught five days a week.

What we do

We believe every student deserves patient, dedicated and personalized Quran education. Whether a child is just starting to recognize Arabic letters, or an adult wants to improve their recitation and Tajweed, the lesson is built around where that student actually is.

Classes are conducted one-on-one via Zoom or Google Meet and scheduled in Eastern, Central, Mountain or Pacific time, so an after-school or evening lesson lands inside a normal North American day rather than the middle of the night. Lessons are taught in English, so students do not need to speak Arabic or Urdu to follow the teaching. Families outside Canada and the United States are welcome to register as well.

We teach Quran reading, Tajweed and Hifdh, plus revision for students rebuilding memorization and dedicated classes for children and adults.

How We Approach Teaching

One-to-one, never group

Every lesson is a private session between one student and one teacher. Nobody waits their turn, and the pace follows the student rather than a class average.

Male and female teachers

You can request a male or female teacher when you sign up, subject to availability, so the arrangement suits your family.

Adapted to age and pace

Lessons are shaped around the student's age, current level and attention span — from a five-year-old learning letters to an adult revising Tajweed.
